How To Use Keyboard Shortcuts In Canva

Canva Keyboard Shortcuts

We all want to be more efficient when designing, and Canva’s keyboard shortcuts can certainly help with that. Some of these shortcuts allow you to access the most commonly used elements with one keystroke, and add them to your canvas quickly. Others, with just two keystrokes via a dropdown menu. Let’s start by going over some of the basic elements…Text, Lines, Circles, and Rectangles.

Adding Text By Typing The ‘T’ Key

Simply typing the ‘T’ key on your keyboard will insert a text box onto your canvas. Once you have that text box on your screen you can reposition it, resize it, change the font, change the color, animate it, curve it, and alter it as you normally would. You still have to click the ‘Text’ icon in the left sidebar if you want the designer fonts available in Canva.
